Larry Clark received his BFA degree from Ohio State University in 1969. From 1970-1980, he performed with the New York based Viola Farber Dance Company and then formed his own company, ‘Larry Clark and Dancers’ which operated for five years. Following, he was co-artistic director and choreographer for an experimental theater/dance company called ‘Triple Threat Company’. As a freelance artist, Mr. Clark has choreographed and guest taught internationally. He joined the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College SUNY in 1980 and presently is a tenured Associate Professor of Dance and a senior member of the faculty.

He has choreographed for the Purchase Dance Corps and has accompanied them on eleven of their international tours as guest teacher, rehearsal director and company massage therapist. As a senior faculty in the Conservatory of Dance at Purchase College Mr. Clark’s menu of classes include Modern Technique (beginning through advanced), Improvisation, Repertory, Freshman Seminar, Senior Seminar, and Anatomy for Dancers, Massage Techniques, Pilates and Modern Partnering. Mr Clark received his certificate in Classical Pilates (advanced apparatus and advanced mat) June, 2011.

In the past three years Mr. Clark has guest taught and choreographed three works for the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore (one repertory work and two new creations). January of 2012 he will be returning to NAFA to teach and set a fourth new work. Mr. Clark lives in the greater New York City area with his wife Piper and his 10 year old son Jagger Cody.
